'Jump to the Rescue' Sponsorship Forms

All students are reminded to bring their sponsorship forms and funds raised, on the last day of term.

Please ensure any money is handed into the school office in a clearly marked envelope, and indicate if a tax receipt is required.

Mr Nancarrow is keen to reiterate: “Over the last few years our Association has supported Hagar in a number of ways. Our fundraising will go to assisting in the development of educational programs for the children in Cambodia. It is a marvellous opportunity to be able to invest in and give a child a future.”

Student Banking

Rachel Bell is currently the Student Banker. She will be relinquishing this role in 2010.

If anyone is interested in taking over this voluntary position, please could they contact the school office. Term four will act as the learning and transition period, for the interested party.

Inter-School Cross Country

Inter-School Cross Country Re-Scheduled

Due to inclement weather, the inter-school cross country has been re-scheduled.

It will now occur on Thursday, 22 October 2009, at Armadale. Those children involved, including reserves, are reminded to attend in their sports uniform on that day.

Please note cross country training will re-commence for those children who have been selected to participate in the inter-school cross country event at Armadale. This includes reserves.

Training will continue on Mondays and Thursdays, 8.00 to 8.20am. All children should congregate in front of the school office, to be accompanied to the Bill Shaw Reserve. Training will not take place in wet weather.

Say Cheese!

School photos will be taken on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 November. It will be a very busy two days and the schedule will be quite tight. In order for the days to run as smoothly as possible, we would ask that you please take note of the following requirements:

Wednesday 11 November

Family Photos – Family photos will be taken from 8:15am, in the school library. If you have ordered a family photo, please ensure that your children are ready at the school library in full school uniform, ready for their photo at 8:15am.

If you have ordered a family photo and there is a sibling in Kindergarten A, please bring them in their school uniform on Thursday morning for their family photo.

Kindergarten B and years one to seven individual and class photos – these will all be taken during the morning. If your child usually has sport on Wednesday, please ensure they wear their full formal uniform to school, (including tie and blazer for students in years 4 – 7) and bring their sport uniform in a bag so they can change prior to their sport session.

Group Photos - please check the list below and if your child is in one or more of these groups, please note the specific clothing requirements next to their group.

Again, if your child usually has sport on Wednesday, please send them to school in formal uniform, with their sport uniform in their bag for a change-over at the appropriate time.

Groups include:

· School Captains - Full formal uniform.

· School Bands – Performing and Training – full formal uniform with instrument.

· Music Students – Full formal uniform with instrument.

· African Drumming – Full formal uniform.

· Choir Ensemble – Full formal uniform.

· Soccer Teams – Soccer uniform and sneakers – please bring to school.

· Swim Squad – school sport uniform with tracksuit and sneakers – please bring to school.

· Teeball Teams – school sport shirt, tee-ball cap, pants, socks and sneakers – please

· bring to school all the tee-ball uniform items you have, and the rest will be supplied by the school.

Thursday 12 November – School Photos (Day 2) Schedule

Family Photos for those with children in Kindergarten A - Family photos will be taken from 8:15am, in the school library. If you have ordered a family photo, please ensure that your children are ready at the school library, in full school uniform, ready for their photo at 8:15am.

Kindy A individual and class photos – please ensure your child arrives at school just prior to 8:30am on this day.

Group Photos:

· Netta Team - Netta uniform and sneakers – please bring to school.

· Netball Team - Netball uniform and sneakers – please bring to school.

· Basketball Teams (Boys and Girls teams) – basketball tops, shorts and sneakers.

All group / team photos will be available for parents to order, later in the term. The photo company will provide a copy of each group photo to the school for parents to view and order.

Formal School Uniform:

Formal school uniform includes white socks for the girls, blazers and tie. The blazer and tie are optional for year one to three students.

Uniform Fittings

Uniform fittings are available on Wednesday afternoons from 2:45pm to 3:30pm, and Thursday mornings from 8:10am to 8:30am.

Families who require uniform fittings should come to school administration at these times.

New families are invited to make an appointment with our uniform coordinator for uniform fittings outside these times, and should liaise a suitable time through the school office.

To view or download a Uniform Order form, click here. Orders should be sent to the school office with payment. When pre-paid orders arrive, these will be sent home with your child. If payment has not been received, the family will be contacted to advise the order is ready for payment and collection from the school office.
