The Year 3s travelled to Bungendore Park to explore the natural surroundings of the Darling Scarp. They joined the Year 3s from our sister school, Southern Hills Christian College, where they spent the day walking through the forest as they learned about the different cockatoo species, animals and habitat of the area. They had the opportunity to learn about various types of plants and are now able to identify which bird has eaten a honky nut by the markings on it. It was hugely informative and the children loved being out in the wild! What a great way to start their second term theme of ‘Rumble in the Jungle’.
