In Kindergarten we are learning about the beautiful animals native to our country. We kicked off this topic last Friday with a visit from some real-life Australian animals in our classroom thanks to West Oz Wildlife! We were treated with a visit from a koala, who happily munched away on leaves while the children got up close and patted him. We met a rather large and very friendly dingo who came in and had a lie down in our class, then strolled around to meet each child and have a pat. We then met two snakes and two lizards, and many of us had a snake cuddle! It was such a wonderful experience and a great way to begin our learning about Australian animals.
