We celebrated Languages Week at school to encourage the learning of languages and to acknowledge the many different languages spoken by the KCS community.
Languages Week was filled with different activities for the students including finding hidden Chinese kindness rocks in the garden and translating the Chinese characters on the rocks, chopstick games and sharing a whole school noodle lunch.
The week finished with a Chinese assembly where all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 showcased their language skills by singing songs in Chinese. Students and staff were invited to share their many different language skills with the school. Our students love speaking in other languages and learning about different cultures, preparing them for the global opportunities of the future.
