Did Curiosity Kill the Cat?
However our Year 4’s participated in a wow day designed to “Cultivate Curiosity”. Teachers reported that earthworks for the oval renovation revealed some interesting discoveries.Year 4 students were called in to the site to begin excavations. Students came fully prepared with a range of tools and implements that could be used. They learnt lots of team work as they worked together to unearth some interesting bones. Now to find out what animal they are from!
I loved digging for bones because I got to dig and look for an animal that is extremely old. I was wondering why we needed a spade and an old toothbrush. When I found out my eyes were glowing and I was so surprised. The bones were huge!I am grateful that I got to have that experience. by Josephine Z
I was really curious at what we would be doing on our WOW day. I loved finding animal bones and digging. We found heads, ribs, legs and arms and I think even a collar bone. I was curious as to what we would find but I was very amazed. by Alexis H
I was confused that I had run over that part of the oval so many times and never noticed that there were bones in our school oval! I am curious as to what animals the bones were from exactly, this I don’t know. by Bailey S
