On Tuesday 9 October the Pre-primary students started off the term with a fun day designed to unlock the topic of Mini-beasts!
They were asked to hunt for Mini-beasts in slime and ice-blocks and construct Mini-beasts out of playdough and other recycled materials. They also made an edible butterfly which they took home.
The morning culminated with a Mini-beast safari hunt in the kindy playground with huge butterfly nets. In the afternoon they were treated to a variety of short films about the lifecycle of the Monarch Butterfly and the life-cycle of Silkworms. The children have been intrigued with this topic and we still have so much more to explore!
