For students involved in the ensembles and choirs at school, life has been busy and productive. The pizza party held at the end of Term 3 was a fantastic opportunity for children to taste their rewards for all of their hard practice during the term.

Grandparents day in Term 4 provided an opportunity for the children to perform for others both within the community at large and at school. Grandparents walking in to the school were serenaded by a number of different items. Instrumental ensembles played a variety of music including “I’m a Believer” to a blues item. The Year 3 choir sang “Jesus is Greater”, accompanied by some of the Year 3 violinists, flutes and marimba players and selected vocal soloists sung to the enjoyment of passing parents and grandparents. The morning was concluded with a performance of “The Magnificent Seven” from the senior band and a melodious serenade from the string ensemble.
As we finish up our term the Year 6 instrumentalists will perform at their own graduation and the whole school will be involved in singing for our KCS Christmas concert. The skilled and talented students here at KCS continue to be busy making music for family and friends to enjoy this Christmas.
