On Tuesday 12th of June our Year 5 students took part in Pandas’ Picnic. This is an annual event run by the Chinese Language Teachers Association of WA for Year 5 classes learning Chinese as a second language.
The students from our school enjoyed a fun filled day practicing their Chinese with students from other schools and taking part in cultural activities. The students enjoyed chopstick races, panda paper folding, using Chinese software on iPads, making their own jiànzi (shuttlecocks) and being entertained by a Kung-Fu performance. Some of the students were the happy winners of panda prizes as well!
