I trust you have all had a wonderful break with your kids despite the wet conditions. We are looking forward to having them all back next week for what is set to be nine weeks of deep learning and many special events. I particularly welcome four new families (five students) who join us from the start of term.
Some of the highlights coming up in the first half of the term are the rescheduled Art Show (Week 1), Student Debates (Week 2) and Face-to-Face Interviews (Weeks1-2), Cross Country (Week 2), Movie Night (Week 3), the STEM Showcase (Week 4) and Book Week (Week 5).
As you know we had to rearrange the Parent-Teacher Interviews scheduled for the last week of Term 2 due to COVID restrictions. Many of you opted for a telephone interview and from all accounts these went very well. For those who still wish to meet in person, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange an interview sometime in the first fortnight.
As part of positive partnership, I have prepared for all families, as I did at the end of Term 1, a review of actions taken toward the school’s annual improvement plan. Please click here to read this review.
We are very excited that a new school website will go live on Friday 30th July. Significant work has gone into both content and design in partnership with Helium Marketing. As part of this major project, we have also employed Paul Dean to produce a video that centres on our six KCS student attributes. I would like to credit Ella Evans in the superb way in which she has worked with Helium in producing such a quality marketing product.
Early this term, all of our parents will be given the opportunity to have a valued voice about their children’s education and how the school is running. The view of every person is of importance to the leadership team as has been evidenced from the many developments put in place in response to last year’s survey. When the information comes your way, please make it a priority to contribute.
A reminder that all students are to be in correct and tidy winter uniform from the start of the term. Please contact the school office if you need to arrange an appointment for fitting uniform.
We have been informed that Mundaring Christian College have only 10 places left for Year 7 to start in 2024, so if you are intending to enrol, please apply to the school as soon as possible to secure a place.
Despite the inclement weather, the holiday break has been an opportunity for some important work to still progress across the school. These include:
The toilet block for our sports oval arrived this week after months of negotiations and many planning application modifications with both Council and the Health Department. Work can now commence on the ground works and installation of septic tanks.

The students’ Bible memory verse for the next fortnight is a profound statement made by our Lord Jesus on the night of his betrayal and arrest.
