Parent Help Needed

All parents and friends are very welcome and encouraged to attend. The Kalamunda Water Park charges a small spectator fee upon entry.

An event such as this cannot be run without our wonderful parent volunteers. We also need parents that hold a current bronze medallion to act as lifesavers.

To volunteer for parent help please tick the box in the permission form.

We would like to encourage maximum participation and will cater for all swimming abilities. The carnival events are as follows:

  • All Year 3 students: 25m freestyle, 25m breastroke, 25m backstroke.
  • Fun/novelty events such as noodle races and lilo relays.
  • All Year 4-6 students: 50m freestyle, 50m breastroke, 50m backstroke.
  • Open event: 100m freestyle (optional), 50 m butterfly (optional).

Please note that children who are feeling anxious about swimming can have the assistance of a pool noodle or kickboard for their race, but parents will need to advise Mrs Kolar beforehand. Please contact her by email at nikki.kolar@kalamundacs.wa.edu.au.

Kiosk Note

The students will not be permitted to go to the kiosk, however the facilities will be available for parents.

Other Information

The aim of the carnival is to encourage participation and sharing of talents in a fun environment.

We will also select our inter-school swimming team from the times recorded on the day. The WACSSA inter-school swimming carnival is for students from Years 4-6 and selection will be based on 50m and 100m events only.House champions will also be selected from these events.

We have three sports factions at Kalamunda Christian School:Taylor (Green), Wesley (Red) and Morgan (Blue). Families with more than one child in the school will have all children in the same faction.
