Sports Volunteer

Volunteers play a major role in the delivery of the KC Saints sports program. Your involvement as a parent will be greatly valued by your child and all members of our school community.

To put it simply, we would not be able to offer these sports for the students without our parent volunteers.

Formal roles that are critical to the functioning of KC Saints Sport are:

  • Sports Coordinators: The sports coordinator is the official contact for parent enquiries and works with school staff to ensure the smooth running of the club. This role may include helping with team registrations, overseeing sporting equipment required for training and assisting with finding Team Coaches and Team Managers.
  • Team Coaches: The coach is a critical role in the child’s and the team’s development over the season. Combining technical knowledge with capabilities to develop each child and the team overall.
  • Team Managers: The team manager communicates with parents, maintains a team contact list, determines training times in consultation with the coach, organises parents to score games (often by roster), communicates fixture changes if necessary and other duties as needed.

Sports Coordinators, Coaches and Managers give up their time to allow our children to have fun and develop new skills and we are very grateful for their contribution.

There are also informal roles that each parent can contribute to during the season.
