Netball

KC Saints Netball 2018

Kalamunda Christian School encourages our students to participate in team sports because of the social, physical and mental health benefits. It is also a great way for friends to have fun.

Registrations are open for boys and girls from Pre-Primary to Year 6.

Net – Pre-Primary to Year 1

Fees: $100 for the season
Uniform: KCS sports uniform
Game Time: No games but the program runs on Friday afternoons
Information: KDNA wish to run the Net Program as a group and then break off and play mini games on a rotation basis between all the teams participating. Net will run on Friday afternoons at the indoor Ray Owen courts from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. The season runs from 4 May to 29 June (all of Term 2). The cost includes the competition set up, registration with Netball Australia to participate in a 10 – 12 week program, specialist coaching sessions and a windup at the end.

Set – Year 2 to Year 3

Fees: $105 for the season
Uniform: KCS sports uniform
Game Time: Saturday mornings
Information: The Set program will be run with modified rules, with training during the week and games played on Saturday mornings.

Go – Year 4 to Year 5

Fees: $155 for the season
Uniform: KCS netball dresses for hire or buy
Game time: Saturday morning
Information: The Go Program will have training during the week and games played on Saturday mornings.

Juniors – Year 6

Fees: $190 for the season
Uniform: KCS netball dresses for hire or buy
Game Time: Saturday morning
Information: Juniors will have training during the week and games played on Saturday mornings.

Parent Help Needed:

KC Saints netball is coached and organised with the help of our parents.

If you would like to volunteer to help coach your child’s team, please email Simone Herden at simone.herden@kalamundacs.wa.edu.au.

Training Times:

Each team will decide when it best suits them to train and coaches will be in contact with their team.

Game Times:

The KDNA schedules game times and posts the fixtures online.

Dates:

Training will start from the week commencing 3 April.

The dates for the netball season are as follows:

Net (Pre-Primary to Year 1): From 4 May to 29 June (all of Term 2).
Set, Go and Juniors (Year 2 Up): Commencing from 5 May

Registration:

Registrations for netball close on Friday 9 March.

Registrations are taken through the My Netball Club registration system, which is used by the school for putting together our teams.

By registering for KC Saints sport, parents and players agree to support the Kalamunda Christian School Code of Conduct.

Uniform:

Years 1 – 3

Pre-Primary to Year 3 students will wear their school sports uniform.

Years 4 – 6

Year 4 - 6 students will wear a netball dress. Parents have the option of either hiring a netball dress for the season for $30 or purchasing one for $70. In addition to the netball dress students will need navy blue netball underwear or navy blue shorts.

Please note that no other items of visible clothing are to be worn under the netball dress as they are not a part of the uniform (eg no long sleeved shirts or leggings underneath). Students are welcome to wear their school jacket or track pants over the top of their uniform before the game starts, to be taken off when playing.
